With furiously competitive realm, it’s no mean feat to break through the exalted ranks of world Golf and make steady inroads. That makes the emergence of Rayhan Thomas to rejoice, an early fruiting that calls for a long spring. The 19-year-old endowed Golfer recently garnered accolades by winning the 11th King Hamad Trophy by 5 strokes in Bahrain.

Thomas started the final day at 13 under par, one shot back from the overnight leader Mathiam Keyser from South Africa. Thomas claimed the lead on the 3rd hole where Keyser made a double bogey and never looked back.
In an exclusive brief interaction with 4moles.com, Rayhan enthused, “I have been working hard over the last couple months, and it’s finally good to see it pay off. The victory was very sweet and an accomplishment I am very proud of, as I played some of the best golf I’ve ever played. I look forward to taking this form into next year and will hopefully have similar results.”
Not many know but the uber-talented Golfer has added yet another feather in his cap. He will soon join the prestigious Oklahoma State University on a Golf scholarship in 2019. The alumni list is damn impressive which include Ricky Fowler, Hunter Mayhan and Peter Ulhein.
As we caught up with proud father John Thomas, it was hard to miss the happiness in his voice. He shared, “He’s been really working hard on every front and it’s paying off. His game is in a good place now and his confidence in himself has increased. It’s good to cap the year off with a win and a good one at that.”
He added, “As parents, our role is to just keep him grounded and sensible. He’s a very matured kid and can hold himself up with people from any level - we are pleased with that.”
The proud father comes with yet another interesting revelation. “We are both camera shy. His mother has a big role in his life too - she’s the one who chaperons him around. She is the one who manages his studies and keeps him fed. Rayhan is a big foodie and loves his steaks and Korean food,” shares John Thomas.
Yes indeed, Rayhan is a man of many facets. His stint in Golf is magical and he is a source of inspiration for many budding talents.
