Now, here’s another talent whose emergence as a champion in the Indian golfing circuit has got everyone talking. Meet Ajeetesh Sandhu, who brilliantly showcased his tactical play and controlled aggression, to win his first Asian Tour title at the Yeangder Tournament Players Championship on Sunday.
The victory has given a boost to his career as he missed out on a Tour card at Qualifying School
Super Sandhu fired a two-under-par 70 and returned with a winning total of 12-under-par 276 to defeat Johannes Veerman (71) of the United States by one-shot at the Linkou International Golf and Country Club.
Sandhu showed his grit and power to claim his dream title. No wonder, the victory has come as a major booster to his career as he missed out on a Tour card at Qualifying School earlier this year. He made full use of this country exemption this week as he edged a battling Veerman to the title after trading three birdies against one bogey.
