Stroke play event open to all junior golfers across various age divisions on Sunday 19th December 2010 for boys and girls from 6 to 17yrs. The tour started in December 2009 and organises at least one event a month in the NCR region and plans to take the tour NATIONWIDE in 2011. This is part of the highly acclaimed Champions Junior Training Program (JTP) run by Romit Bose (Class A National Academy certified teacher and Staff member) over the last 12 years which has produced many successful professional golfers on the Indian and Asian Tours. 
The Champions JTP is specialized golf training program for developing high performance golfers aged 6-17 led by Romit Bose, NGAI Certified Class A Teaching Professional, one of India’s top golf coaches for juniors, Amateurs and Tour Professionals on the Indian and Asian Tours. Under his tutelage top juniors, Amateurs and Professionals have won multiple tournaments and have made successful careers out of golf. The champions JTP is based on the same teaching theories and training methods which have produced these champion golfers in India. Champions JTP is a structured comprehensive and systematic approach to training, competing, skill improvement and personal development.

ABOUT THE TOUR: The Champions Junior Golf Tour (CJGT) has been organized for the sole purpose of helping junior golfers take their golf game to the next level by providing them the opportunity to develop and showcase their golf skills and introduces them to the various formats of the game. The Tour presently wishes to conduct junior events at regular intervals in the NCR and also has plans to expand nationwide in the future. The Champions Junior Golf Tour (CJGT) is designed to give junior golfers strong competitive experience, a mature understanding of the ethos which the rules of golf govern and especially for those looking to eventually compete in amateur golf and beyond.
The tour places age specific tees out on the course so that the kids in each age group play an appropriate yardage, which allows them to hit the greens in regulation. This will ensure a fair scoring opportunity within their divisions for all players. This according to us plays a significant part in the development of a top class golfer. In this way we are certain to build their mental approach and strategy to the game in a manner which remains constant as they grow up and physically increase in strength, thereby ensuring that their shotmaking and game management skills are developed from the very beginning. Parents, spectators and coaches are briefed about the rules of golf pertaining to ‘giving advice to a player’ before every event and are allowed to watch, appreciate and encourage their children’s game on the golf course. We believe this also to be a very essential form of encouragement for the junior golfers’ development. This form of visual evaluation also gives coaches and parents an accurate first hand statistic of the players various strengths and weaknesses.
The Tour is run by professional golfers with an extensive background in competing in several junior, amateur, and professional events. In addition to this, the CJGT is unique, as it has National body certified golf coaches, qualified administrators and referees certified by the Royal & Ancient Club of St. Andrews, who oversee tournament operations while utilizing the highest level of professionalism and upmost quality that a junior tour deserves.
