Delhi-NCR - A hotbed for Golf talent and immense opportunities?

Delhi-NCR is a hotbed of Golfing talent as some of the best professional players have come from this belt. The likes of Shiv Kapur are sure to inspire you to hop on the Golf course and train to become the next golfing star from India.

 

 

As a tribute to the Golfing legacy of the Delhi-NCR region that has churned out a stream of golfers of international repute, the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) has partnered with a leading real estate brand to launch a new event Delhi-NCR Open Golf Championship. The tournament which is the seventh event of the PGTI’s 2018 season, carries a prize purse of 30 lakh.

Uttam Mundy, CEO of PGTI, said, “We thank Mr Prakash for partnering with us in this new initiative.” Stressing on the fact the PGTI is now an Open Tour, he said, “There will be no restriction on the number of foreigners with the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) becoming an Open Tour.

 

 

Earlier, the PGTI had a limit of a maximum of 15 foreign players in each tournament but now there will be no such restriction on foreigner earning their cards through the PGTI Qualifying School.”

 

 

WHEN AND WHERE

 

 

Noida Golf course

 

The inaugural edition of the tournament will be held at the Noida Golf Course from April 17th to April 20th, 2018. The Pro-Am event is scheduled for April 21.

 

 

A GALAXY OF GLOBAL STARS TOO!

 

 

The tournament will feature some of the top professionals of the South Asian region such as India’s Shamim Khan, Himmat Singh Rai, Amardip Sinh Mallik, Viraj Madappa, Honey Baisoya and Shankar Das. The event will also feature Sri Lankans Anura Rohana and N Thangaraja and Bangladesh’s Md Zamal Hossain Mollah. Another prominent player will be Australia’s Kunal Bhasin.
