14-year-old Arjun Bhati is the next big thing in the world of Golf. His phenomenal abilities were on display when he recently defeated Thailand’s Pongsapak Laopakdee and won the Albatross International Junior Golf Championship – 2018.
The talented youngster shot to prominence in 2016 where he bagged the first position in the Kids Golf World Championship after defeating South Africa's Methu Denish during the three-level final match in Malaysia.
The Golf prodigy till now has played 136 events and won 106 of them. When 4moles.com got up close and personal with him for a brief and exclusive interaction, he quipped, “I am happy the way my career is shaping up. I would really love to win a Gold medal for India in the Olympics. That’s my dream.”
Not many know but the wonder kid developed an interest in Golf while watching other players playing in the golf course from his room window. Talking more about this interesting fact, he said, “Yes, my source of my penchant for Golf is quite interesting. I reside at such a location in Greater Noida from where the Golf field is clearly visible. I am very fond of watching the players playing in the field from my room window. Over a period of time, I developed a deep interest to become a Golfer. I then requested my father to buy me a set of golf clubs.”
Now, that’s interesting!
Arjun comes up with yet another interesting revelation. He says he’s deeply addicted to putting. “I am strongly addicted to putting as that’s my strength area. I am not that great at Bunker shots and I am looking forward to improve the same,” says he.
The 14-year-old Golf prodigy is in awe with the games of Golf stars like Shubhankar Sharma and Anirban Lahiri. “I met Shubhankar a month back and he shared some really good tips with me. He said it’s important to stay focused and most importantly to stay calm at the Golf course. It’s great that you are doing well as a junior Golfer and now you have to build your foundation in such a way that you excel as a professional Golfer too,” shared Arjun.
It’s good to see Golf prodigies like Arjun Bhati scaling new heights and excelling in the world of Golf. We hope he continues the same momentum when he takes up Professional Golf too.
