They say the best things come in small packages and that holds true for 10-year-old Golfer Aryaman Singh who has created history by making his way to victory through the first five events of the Indian Golf Union-West Zone this year. The little star has set new standards of excellence in the Golf arena.
According to sources, his winning streak that spans over four years extends to a record-breaking number of 1266 days. This would be the longest streak in the history of junior Golf in the country.
The little star picked up Golf at the age of 3
After the historic feat, 4moles.com exclusively spoke to his parents Rohit and Melrose Singh who were happy with their son's achievement. "We are indeed overwhelmed with Aryaman's accomplishment. He is a hardworking kid and takes a lot of efforts to do well in his game. The best part about Aryaman is that he takes a very individualistic approach while playing his game and does not blindly follow his caddie’s instructions. We wish him all the happiness and success in life,” said his father.
Aryaman scripted success by winning the Indian Golf Union-West Zone Order of Merit for a third consecutive time. He wrapped up the tournament by breaking his own zonal and national records.
What do you need to know about the Golf prodigy?
Pune-based Aryaman, who forayed into the sport when he was just four years old, hasn’t lost a single tournament. When he went to the Golf course with his father Rohit Singh for the first time, he picked up a club and started hitting the balls. Interestingly, he didn’t miss a single ball he hit.
He won his first game at the Kensville Golf Course, Ahmedabad, followed by a series of wins first in his home town, The Poona Gold Club Course and the Oxford Golf and Country Club. These were followed by another victory at the Gaekwad Baroda Gold Course, Vadodara.
Besides Golf, Aryaman also loves to play football, cricket and tennis.
After Golf, it's soccer that makes Aryaman tick
A Rory Mcllroy fan, the 10-year-old golfer is taking training from Dubai Golf instructor Justin Parsons and has worked with some of the most prestigious Golf coaches such as Mark Roe, David Stockton and Vijay Divecha.
It would be interesting to see how the little star makes his way into the professional Golf circuit.
