US President Donald Trump, who shares a penchant for Golf and controversy alike, has stirred up a hornet’s nest once again.
The US President courted controversy again by retweeting a GIF that shows him first hitting a tee shot surrounded by onlookers at one of his golf clubs. The GIF then cuts to a clip of Hillary Clinton ascending the stairs of an aeroplane before a fake golf ball hits her in the back causing her to fall forward.
In 2008, Trump said once that Hillary was a great friend
Reactions from the Twitterati were mixed. While some users found the video funny, others considered it grossly offensive and demonstrative of the president's penchant for violence against women.
The edited GIF certainly didn’t go down well with Hillary Clinton’s daughter Chelsea who said that she wished President Trump focused on his duties at the United Nations instead of retweeting a GIF of himself knocking down her mother with a golf ball.
Recently, The US President drew a lot of flak when drove his Golf cart across the putting greens of the Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey.
Many would vouch for the fact that as the owner of the Golf club, Trump could be pardoned for flouting the occasional rules. However, Golfers are quite strict on etiquette and were outraged at this incident.
