At the age of 24, Panuphol is determined to win his first Asian Tour title this week after playing on the Asian Tour for eight seasons.
Here are five things you may not have known about the Thai player:
1) Panuphol enjoyed best finish on Order of Merit in 2016 with a tied sixth finish at the Mercuries Taiwan Masters and joint runner-up outing at BANK BRI-JCB Indonesia Open.
2) Has successfully kept his full card every year since breaking through at Qualifying School in 2011.
3) In 2012, Panuphol challenged at the Hero Indian Open but bogeyed the last hole to miss out on a play-off berth with Richie Ramsay and Thaworn Wiratchant, who eventually won the tournament.
4) In 2014, he contended at The Championship at Laguna National in Singapore before finishing tied 11th.
5) He finished third in the Yeangder Tournament Players Championship in 2015 and won a townhouse for a hole-in-one at the Thailand Classic in 2015.
