Why Thailand’s young Golfing sensation Rattanon is making waves now?

Thailand’s young Golfing sensation Rattanon Wannasrichan has been garnering a lot of headlines these days.

The young talent hopes to reverse the trend by putting his best foot forward to clinch the Panasonic Swing series with a victory at the Panasonic Open Championship which starts on Thursday.

Rattanon still has an outside chance of pipping India’s Shiv Kapur to the Panasonic Swing title and he holds the belief that anything is possible at the Ibaraki Country Club this week.

The 22-year-old was in commanding form when he romped to a wire-to-wire victory at the Thailand Open, which marked the start of the Panasonic Swing series in his home country last May.

He aims to reproduce that similar form again when he takes on the best players from the Asian Tour and Japan Golf Tour Organisation (JGTO) this week.

The 22-year-old Thai player had said in an exclusive interview with 4moles.com that huge prize money is motivating Thai Golfers to sweat and work harder in playing their game.
He had also said that Golf helps him widen his social network and gain a lot of experiences. That’s one of the reasons why he loves playing the game.
Rattanon finished tied-fifth in Myanmar which was also his best result on the Asian Tour this year.
He has also won once in Chinese Taipei on the Asian Development Tour in 2015.
Rattanon represented Thailand during his amateur days and won the team and individual gold medals at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games in Indonesia.
