Thailand’s golf icon Thongchai Jaidee is looking to produce an ace when he tees off at the 99th PGA Championship today.  This will be Jaidee’s maiden debut at the Quail Hollow Club.

Jaidee looks to make impact at the Quail Hollow Club

Thongchai Jaidee will play with Sweden's Soren Kjeldsen and American Patrick Cantlay in the first two rounds at the Championship.

Thongchai, the only Thai in the year's last major, has played in the tournament eight times with his best result being a joint 36th place in 2009. He finished tied for 73rd last year.

The Thai golf veteran will need to watch out for the wind and prepare himself for a forecasted shower today. All sights would be undoubtedly set on Jordan Speith, who recently clinched the British Open title.

Rory McIlroy has not added a Major to the four he had won till 2014, but the fact that his last major was PGA at Valhalla will surely spur him on to make it five.

Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Sergio Garcia and Jimmy Walker all of whom won their first Major in last 15 months will seek to double that number, even as two veterans Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els, who have five and four Majors respectively, will both tee up for their 100th Major.
