What inspired you to take Golf: I was very impressed with the late Major Biloo Sethi, who is the only Indian amateur Golfer to have won the Indian Open so far. Playing at Royal Calcutta Golf Club, Sethi won the Indian Open by seven strokes over an international field which included Peter Thomson, beginning play with five-under 68s on the opening two days. When I saw him win the Indian Open dexterously in 1965, I decided to take up Golf. So, I was 16 years old when I made up my mind to pursue the game.

 

My Dream Golf moment: When I scored a hole-in-one at Royal Calcutta Golf Club after 36 years of starting Golf. 

 

My Dream 4- ball: It’s none other than Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and me

 

My Golf superstition: Well, I follow an indeed interesting superstition. I use Golf balls that have number 1 written on it and they have always been lucky for me.

 

What makes me tick: I am over 71 years old and I am still playing Golf. I think it’s work and my exercise routine that keeps me going.
