Golf has never been more competitive, and the race to jostle for the number 1 space has never been more wide open. With the next year around the corner, we bring you the top 4 professional Golfers to watch out for in 2020. No wonder, the stalwarts have made their strong presence felt in the list once again. Let's find out.

Tiger roars back

The most memorable moment of the year came back in April at Augusta National when Tiger Woods tapped in to seal his first major championship victory since the 2008 US Open. The now-43-year-old has since had to battle personal problems, injury woes and a shocking loss of form.

He surprised the golfing world by returning to the top events in 2018, winning the PGA Tour's season-ending Tour Championship, before capping his comeback this year in incredible fashion by winning a fifth Masters green jacket. Woods went on to lift a record-equalling 82nd PGA Tour title in Japan in October, before leading the United States to victory in the Presidents Cup in Melbourne as a playing captain. He turns 44 on Dec. 30 and says he can’t do anything physically that he used to, but Tiger still delivered three big wins in a span of 13 months.

Jon Rahm- The Mighty Warrior

Spain’s Jon Rahm is primed for a big performance in 2020 after winning in each of the last three PGA TOUR seasons. PGA TOUR wins in 2017, 2018 and 2019 -- you might as well add 2020 now. Rahm is sure to keep the roll going and good chance it comes in an event from the season of championships. He continues to evolve as a player, melding his passion, skill and experience.

Last season notched up 12 top-10s and Rahm finished inside the top 12 at the PLAYERS Championship, Masters, U.S. Open and Open Championship. Not to mention an unofficial win at the Hero World Challenge a year ago and a handful of European Tour wins that saw him win the Race To Dubai.

Rory McIlroy: The Reigning Champion

The FedExCup champion is about to explode and control his place at the golf summit. After his three wins last season (PLAYERS Championship, RBC Canadian Open and TOUR Championship) and early win at the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions, the PGA TOUR Player of the Year is set to be the star of 2020.

With Brooks Koepka recovering from knee surgery, McIlroy will have the early jump on the game’s other top dog and will be the player to chase. Expect another multiple win season -- and this will be the year the 18-time PGA TOUR winner breaks his major championship drought that spans back to 2014. He might even improve on his incredible stats from last season. McIlroy’s +2.551 was the fourth-best single-season Strokes Gained: Total since the Strokes Gained statistics started in 2004.
