There’s a serene determination that rings loud over when India’s Shubhankar Sharma makes his presence felt on the greens. With a calm expression permanently etched on his face, he ensures that he sets new trends and his game becomes a visual treat for all those buffs who swear by a good dose of Golf.  From bagging the prestigious Arjuna Award to playing all the 4 majors, he has done it all and with effortless ease.

Now, the 22-year-old ace has again become the cynosure of all eyes as he has a very strong chance of creating history and becoming the first Indian to bag the prestigious European Rookie of the Year award.

The talented Golfer leads the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year Award heading into the final event on the 2018 European Tour calendar – the DP World Tour Championship.

He sits in 25th position in the Race to Dubai Rankings with 1,381,291 points, many of which he accumulated thanks to a scorching start to his European Tour career.

Sharma will face competition from two other rookies teeing it up in Dubai, as Australia’s Lucas Herbert and England’s Sam Horsfield both are both in contention.

The world woke up to his power when he recorded his first tour win in the Joburg Open and followed this with a second win at the Maybank Championship in February 2018.

In an earlier and exclusive interview to 4moles.com, his father Col Mohan Sharma had said that he is extremely proud of his son that he got to play all the 4 majors this year and bagged the Arjuna award too.

After finishing a note-worthy T-27 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, the talented Golfer is currently exercising his awe-inspiring Golfing skills at the DP World Tour Championships at the Jumeirah Golf Estate’s Earth course in Dubai.

We hope he continues with the momentum of breaking old moulds and setting new trends!
