Electic vehicles manufacturer, Kinetic Green and Power Solutions has partnered with the supercar maker Lamborghini to develop made-in-India golf carts, with sales starting next year.

The golf carts are recommended to be designed in Italy and can be described as beautifully differentiated golf carts as per the CEO Sulajja Firodia Motwani. She envisions the golf carts to be made accessible in the hospitality industry catering to airports, hotels, etc. apart from golf.

Motwani puts a finger at how the golf cart market is estimated to be worth $3 billion which too is dominated by North America, the Middle East and parts of Asia that encourages tourism. Besides this, the EV maker has some ambitious plans for the Indian market as well.

During the course of the interview with Bloomberg, Motwani further stated that Kinetic Green expects 70 per cent of its e-vehicles to be on Indian roads by the next decade. She was also hopeful of India’s leadership in terms of the percentage of EVs in the transportation sector in the next 10 years due to the size of the e-vehicle market in the country.
