Paul Casey leaves behind one of the unhappiest years of his golfing career by celebrating the 15th win of his Golfing career. The 43-year-old English Golfer has won the 15th European tour title by carding a two-under 70 in Sunday’s final round which made it feasible for him to chalk up a 17-under final total at the Emirates Golf Club, Dubai.

During the final round of the tournament, Casey had faced a vigorous contention from Africa's Brandon Stone and Scotland's Robert MacIntyre. There was a point when Maclentere started edging out Casey but soon he had hit the buffers by shooting four bogeys in a row from the seventh. Paul Casey was brimmed with content since it was his first European Tour win since the 2019 European tour open. Thus, his world ranking has been skyrocketed from 27th to 14th in the new world rankings on Monday.

Casey quoted with contentment "It's very, very special," he said. "It's an unbelievable roster [of winners]. That's so cool, I've worked so hard. I feel like I've regained my youth, I mean that sincerely."

While he made 3 bogeys, he had carded three birdies, including one at the 18th, which helped him wrap up the game on the palatial links of the Emirates Golf Club. Thus, Casey capped off at 70 and reached 17 under par while South African Brandon Stone obtained the second position by surpassing MacIntyre, who slipped to a 74 in Casey’s company.

Also, Indian talent Shubahnkar Sharma has attained a high position by staying under the top 20 at the Emirates Golf Club. Sharma, who initiated on Saturday by lying at the 12th place, had shot three birdies and as many bogeys.

Sharma said: "I started well, but I missed two simple up-and-downs and all three days I have done that. I have missed some easy up-and-downs and dropped shots.”

"(On the third) obviously it was a tough lie in the rough but I should have had a better chip from there and then obviously that 3-putt was just unacceptable. That did break the momentum." "I still think I played decent on the front nine and gave myself opportunities and was par for front nine. I should have played better on back nine."

To sum up, this longest-running event on the schedule outside Europe has successfully taken place at the Emirates Golf Club Dubai, wherein Casey has made a victory for the European Tour Tournament on the green links of Emirates Club.
