Good golfing weather and a course in pristine condition greeted the full house field of 118 golfers who teed off at the LG OLED TV presents the 4moles.com Golf Rendezvous 2020 played at the Classic Golf Resort on the 7th of Nov. The good conditions contributed towards some good scoring and Dhruv Pal Singh fired three birdies in his round of one over par, gross 73 to claim the honours for the Best Golfer of the Tournament. A beaming Dhruv walked away with the engineering masterpiece LG OLED television set which was on offer for the Best Golfer of the Tournament.

 

The participants managed the redesigned tournament flow, aligned to COVID-19 MHA mandates, quite beautifully and the competition was close as the Callaway Handicap format made the scoring fair and interesting for all levels of participants. While Dhruv Pal was adjudged the best golfer based on his gross score, the only other category scored on gross was for Juniors which talented young Hunar Mittal won after firing a round of par 72 to win the Best Junior Award.

 

There were three handicap categories where the scores were based on the Callaway system. In the Handicap category (0-10), Anup Kumar Tiwari won with a score of Nett 71 while Col Sanjay Chowdhary finished runner up with a score of nett 72. In the Handicap category (11-18), Rajesh Kumar and Mayank Arora had the same score of Nett 73, but Rajesh was adjudged the winner on a countback. And In the Handicap category (19 and above),  Brijesh Bhanote with a score of nett 72 was adjudged the Winner while Sadeesh Premananth finished runner up with a score of nett 75. The Winner for the “ Overall Closest to pin” on the 11th hole was Atul Bansal.

 

After three successful hosting’s in Thailand, the inaugural event in India was a huge success. The event has a unique positioning of being a launch pad to unveil innovations and showcase flag-ship releases from various industries through curated, high quality golf tournaments and this year the event showcased enhanced functionality of innovative technologies from LG, BMW India and TIM 2.O by Goldfish Technologies. The participants had an opportunity to witness cutting edge technologies from these three giants and also get an insight into the engineering capabilities behind them.

 

LG showcased the next generation 8K LG OLED television sets which mesmerized the participants while BMW India showcased the first-ever BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé and the BMW X7 and Goldfish Technologies showcased their cutting-edge TIM 2.0 platform which has the potential to transform the Indian Golf Tourism industry. The tournament also received sponsorship support from Silverglades, Karma Lakelands and Truefitt and Hill. The full house field saw quality participation and included Hon’ble Minister Arjun Munda, Lt. General V.K. Mishra, Satnam and Gurnam Arora, Pradeep Jain, DP Singh and several other corporate leaders.

 

LG OLED TV presents the 4Moles Golf Rendezvous was an event which was creatively aligned to the new normal in the way events are likely to be conducted in the future. And to do justice to the event, Dinesh Thakur the promoter also enlisted the support of the golf management teams of Brandon de Souza and Digraj Singh. Delighted by the outcome of the event, Dinesh stated that “we are going to make this an annual feature and would like to invite all top companies to be associated with us. We will continue to curate such events which promote the sport and yet contribute toward the development on a robust golfing and business development ecosystem”
