Gurugram: Indian women golfer, Jahanvi Bakshi shines at the Women’s pro golf tour on the scintillating greens of the DLF Golf course. She brought home a card of even-par 72 in the final round to grab a four-shot win while being in head-to-head contention with Vani Kapoor in the fifth leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour on Friday.

Jahanvi aimed for a ballistic four-shot overnight lead, which proffered her a leeway to surge her ranking on the leaderboard, despite Vani’s massive three-under 69 on the final day of the tournament. Jahanvi carded a four-under 212, while her contender Vani was at even-par 216.

Coming onto other girls in contention, Tvesa Malik (69) finally found the smooth pace to swing in a rhythm and rose to tie 3rd alongside Hitaashee Bakshi, who was three-under in the front nine and four-over for the back nine.

Jahanvi’s victory in this tournament means that both the Bakshi sisters have marked a victory once each on the ‘Hero Women’s pro golf tournament’. Her sister Hitaashee won in December and this time Jahanvi’s victory has added to the family silverware.

Jahanvi had started the day by carding birdies on the second and third hole, but she dropped shots on the fourth and seventh. Furthermore, she birdied on the ninth to be one-under 35.

Vani Kapoor, runner up at the Hero Women's Pro Golf Tour

Vani Kapoor ran through the front nine for carding four birdies against no bogeys. At this stage, Vani started seven behind Jahanvi. The gap narrowed as Jahanvi double-bogeyed at the 10th hole. That was as close as Vani was able to get. With this Jahanvi grabs the title while Vani becomes the runner-up.
