The German players seem to have a great enthusiasm on the final day of the prestigious Indian open, taking place at the glorious DLF Golf and Country Club, Gurgaon. Tussle is still ongoing between the German stars, Yannik Paul and Marcel Siem. Leaderboard was changing at every hole specially for these two players who were playing at a neck to neck competition

Ultimately, the winner’s trophy has to be with one, and that one was Marcel Siem from Germany, first German to win the Indian Open, beating another German Yannik Paul. Marcel Siem, 42 years old finished 14-under with 5 birdies and 2 bogeys in the final round.

The final hole was little disappointing for Siem, as he was targeting for a birdie on it, but got parred along with fellow German player Yannik Paul. He was quite delighted with his birdies on the 10th and 11th because by that time the heat on the course was quite up on the head. He took €320,819.24 as the final prize money.

Yannik Paul

On the other hand , Young star Yannik Paul stood as the runner up by winning an amount of €207,588.92. He was one hit behind the leader with a total score of 13-under. He had an amazing bogey free round.

With the conclusion of the final da,y Joost Luiten from Netherlands got the third position by winning a total amount of €118,891.84.

Veer Ahlawat , on his last hole, 18th had a great long putt and managed to got his name in the best Indians with Shubhankar Sharma.  Veer Ahlawat tied-13 along with Shubhankar Sharma with a total score of 4-under winning prize money of  €27,816.92

Shubhankar Sharma, famous Indian golfer finished his final round early in the evening with a score of 4-under( 68, 74, 74, 68). But was not able to make it to the top-10. With two bogeys on the 2nd and 8th somewhere made him lose his position from top-10. He parred a total of 10 holes.

Shubhankar Sharma and Angad Cheema

Indian players seem to get down on the leaderboard, like the Indian Star, Angad Cheema, who had a great lead in the tournament on the third day, got down to tied-7 till he reached to the 12th hitting three birdies till 12, while getting a bogey shot on 3rd. Cheema parred his last seven holes missing his birdie shot on the 18th and got the final position at T-20.
