Winning Team Rippers ( Leishman, Smith, Jones, Herbert - From L-R)
Apart from Lahiri's performance, Charles Howell III contributed a 7-under 65, and team captain Bryson DeChambeau posted a 67. The Crushers, known for their late surges on Sundays, remain in contention for the team title, with all four team members' scores counting on the final day.
In a thrilling finale, the all-Australian team, Ripper GC, captained by Cameron Smith, emerged victorious after defeating the all-South African Stinger GC in a playoff. The victory, witnessed by over 90,000 fans at The Grange Golf Course, fulfilled the nation's hopes, with Smith expressing his elation, calling it a "dream come true."
Steele maintained a one-stroke lead entering the final round, buoyed by a remarkable string of five consecutive birdies. Despite a strong challenge from Oosthuizen, who shot a 7-under 65, Steele's performance secured him the individual title.
As both individual and team leaderboards remained tightly contested, Sunday promised an exciting conclusion, fueled by enthusiastic crowds and high stakes for the players.
