Famous Irish Golfer, ‘Rory Mcllroy’ is leading on the greens of ‘Arnold Palmer Invitational 2021’, he has tied for the lead with Canadian Golfer, Corey Conners in the opening round of this reputed tournament. Speaking of other players contending to increase their rank on the leaderboard; Bryson DeChambeau was alone in third place at 5 under par, whereas Jason Kokrak, Byeong Hun An, and Sebastian Munoz tied the fourth position at 4 under par. Furthermore, other golfers had also shown a spectacular performance by hitting a 3 under par, including Norwegian Viktor Hovland, South Korea’s Im Sunga-Jae, and England’s Lee Westwood.
Mcllroy had lifted the title at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2018. His past records bring up the level of curiosity among his fans and followers. Thus, following his previous victory at this tournament, he might be able to lift the title again at the Bay Hill Golf Course, Florida.
"I feel like you don't have to do anything special to shoot a good score here," McIlroy said. "You can be really conservative off the tees if you want to be. There's a bunch of irons that you can hit off tees. Take care of the par-5s - I think the toughest thing about this course is the par-3s and I played them in 3-under today. So that was a bonus." Another player in contention, Corey Conners caught a steady momentum by shooting birdies on the first three holes and was at 6 under par through seven holes after hitting an eagle at the par-5 16th hole.
"I mean, I know this golf course can sneak up on you if you get a little too relaxed," Conners said. "So I was off to a really great start there, my focus on 17, and my eighth hole was 6-under par at the time. I was trying to hit a solid 5-iron, give myself another chance at birdie. Just take it one shot at a time. I think that's really important out here." (Source: Sports Star)

American Golfer Bryson De Chambeau had hit a birdie at the par 5, 6th hole that is embodied about the lake and water hazards, although he did not drive the green as he did in a practice round. Thus, this shot was more of a grinding shot for him which involved unavoidable lakes and hazards.
"There was a high expectation level of me trying to go for the green there and it was a little pressure that I wasn't expecting," DeChambeau admitted. "... I pulled out an iron as a joke off the tee box. It was ... more into the wind than anything." (Source: Sports Star)
