Golf Swing Plane

image
Posted by Anirudh Chandra 11 May 2011
With a golf swing, the swing plane sometimes sounds complicated, but it's not. This golf instruction video from PGA Professional Charlie King explains the nuances of getting the right angle.

Unlike a croquet mallet, a golf club should not go straight back and straight through. There is a curve in your swing.

If you want to keep the ball from going right or left, you have to consistently keep the swing on a plane, not coming in too high or too low. It sounds counter-intuitive, but to hit the ball straight, you have to hit the ball in a circle.
