Georgia: With a fleet of ballistic birdies and an Eagle on Thursday’s first round of the 85th Masters’ tournament, Justin rose waded his way up to the 1st rung in the leaderboard. He took a 4-shot lead with a marvelous 7-under 65.
Rose clings to the 1st position on the leaderboard and attempts to his first wire-to-wire win at the Masters since Jordan Spieth in 2015. The 40-year-old English golfer holds his 16th second-round lead on the PGA Tour. While he is shining at the palatial greens of the Augusta National Park, other players lurk behind.

“I was joking, the finger was heading towards the panic button a little bit,” Rose said. “I had a little talk with myself on 8 and said you’re still leading the Masters, and I just changed my mindset a little bit and started to play match play against the golf course. I scratched a line on my scorecard and told myself I was three down and could I go ahead and beat the golf course from that point on. I had a putt on 18 to win my match 1-up, but unfortunately, it just slipped by. But an honorable draw.
“It was just a classic day at Augusta National when you’re just slightly off. You can be a foot or two out on certain occasions and you end up struggling.”
Round 2 Leaderboard : The Masters 2021
How the other players have fared?
Will Zalatoris
The 24-year-old dapper Americal golfer, Will Zaltoris lurks behind Justin Rose but stayed in contention throughout the game so far. He birdied the final three holes for carding a score of 4-under 68. If he continues to stick to the initial rungs of the leaderboard, he would be the first player to win in his debut Masters appearance since Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979.
Jordan Spieth
The 2015 champion leads the field with 30 greens hit in regulation. He stays at the top-4 on the leaderboard. While in heavy contention with Justin Rose, Brain Harman, and Zalatoris he is making the best of his shots to lead in the game. If he lifts the title of Masters 2021 then he would be the first Masters Champion to have a triple bogey.
