The second day started with some par shots from yesterday’s leader Yannik Paul who completed his second round with four birdies and one bogey shot on the 3rd. Maintaining his lead well off on the second day of the Indian Open at DLF Golf and Country Club he had a total lead of 10-under by the end of second round. He parred most of his holes, birdied 4 of them and had a bogey on the front nine.

Angad Cheema started well with his day as he birdied the 1st hole and then parred the next two, got another birdie on the 4th. The 33 old golfer is playing to have his first DP World Tour win. He was quite unhappy with his last shot as he started well on the 18th hole, tried to hit a birdie but parred the same. He slightly missed the last hole to get a bogey hit. 

 

Securing 2nd position in the tournament today, Cheema told 4moles.com, “ my day was slightly better than yesterday, i stayed calm and focused on my game. '' my birdies were great but definitely there have to be a control on the bogeys, “ i don;t have any plans for tomorrow, i will just play golf .” “ We have to compete with the best players of the world.” “Having my coach here has definitely made be do better”.

Finland’s Mikko, Gudmundur Kristjansson and Marcel from Germany tied-2nd with Cheema having a total score of 5-under by the end of the second round. 

 

Honey Baisoya, star of yesterday’s round, got down to 6th position on the second day of the tournament. He played 2-over 74 with two disastrous double bogeys on 11th and 16th on the second day. He got 6 birdies in his account. He tied with 6 times DP Winner Joost Luiten where the total score for both of them was 4-under.

 

Yuvraj Sandhu , who was tied-7 as he finished his second round of the day. He got 4 birdies and 3 bogeys in this round finishing the round with a score of one-under 71. He finished his first round with two-under 70 and moved to tied-8 place by the end of the round.

Shubhankar Sharma who tied-4 on the first of the tournament, was tied-12 after he finished his round for the day. Playing on the home soil, Sharma is looking for a better finish to the tournament. He had 4 bogeys for the day with only two birdies on the 7th and 13th. Finishing his round with 2-over 74 he parred a total of 12 holes and got down to 13th position by the end of the day.
