About me: I am a Chandigarh based professional golfer, I started golf in 2003 at Wellington Gymkhana club. It happened when my father randomly took me along to the golf club and gave me a club and kept walking behind him for 18 holes hacking at one golf ball.

 What inspired me to take Golf: This was probably the only sport which when I started I could compete in with my counterparts. So competing in the junior events back then and seeing exactly where I stand and also could easily gauge my progress which was very satisfying.

Why Golf and not any other sport: I played a lot of other sports as a kid. I didn’t even know that it was going to be golf for me for the longest time. It’s just something about this sport that got me glued.

 Your Golfing achievements

·         Won 2 professional tournaments ( dialog open in Colombo and feeder tour event in Jaipur. Apart from those I won 5 amateur tournaments and also won bronze medal at the Nomura cup team event. This included the All India championship in 2012.

Interesting/funny moment: Funny fact would be that I first got into this sport because I just wanted to run away from studies.

What would u like to change about Golf: About the sport, I don’t think I’d like to change anything. But would definitely like there to be more public ranges so that it’s more accessible for other people and also more world class golf courses. These 2 things would really help in uplifting the quality of golf in this country.
