Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri's impressive streak continues with yet another remarkable top-5 finish. In the final round of the International Series England, Lahiri displayed his skill, carding a solid 3-under 68 to secure third place. This achievement follows his earlier second-place finish at the International Series in Vietnam.

 

Throughout the tournament, Lahiri consistently showcased his prowess with rounds of 70, 69, and 69. His overall performance tallied up to an 8-under 276. He secured the third spot on the leaderboard, trailing behind the winner Andy Ogletree, who shot a remarkable 64 to reach a total of 15-under, and Ian Poulter, who also carded a 64, finishing at 9-under 275.

Fellow Indian golfers also took part in the competition. Ajeetesh Sandhu managed a T-31 finish with scores of 71, 72, 71, and 72. On the other hand, Gaganjeet Bhullar, with rounds of 76, 67, 75, and 76, finished at 10-over 294, securing the T-65 spot. Jyoti Randhawa ended his run with scores of 74, 71, 81, and 74, placing him at T-74.

 

Lahiri's recent performances have been exceptional, particularly in the LIV Series events. Notably, his achievements in these events have not contributed to his World Ranking points. In his last five starts leading up to this tournament, he has either secured second place or a T-2 finish three times, along with one T-12 finish.

 

Lahiri was "very, very pleased” with his performance.

“I think that was probably the top-three ball-striking rounds of the year for me, I think I would rate this round better than my Saturday at Bedminster (on LIV) and better than Adelaide (LIV).
"I was very, very happy with how I swung it. My control of the ball in the air, my distance control everything was spot on. I drove it phenomenally,” he added.

 

Ogletree cemented his position as a leader on the Asian Tour by winning the USD 2 million International Series England with a commanding 16-under tournament total and a remarkable seven-stroke triumph.
With a final-round score of seven under par, the American was unstoppable and tied for the lowest round of the week.
