Showing frustration on the ground, an acceptable ethic in sports?

Short while ago, golfer Rory McIlroy's face was locked in rage as he walked off the 18th green at the Earth Course on Sunday. He tore at the top of his shirt after leaving the public arena, almost ripping it in half, enraged by his failure to win the DP World Tour Championship.  On the 15th, he set up a wonderful chance for birdie with a monster drive, only for his pitch to rocket off the flagstick and into a greenside bunker, where he couldn't save par.

On  the same, golf generalist Joy Chakravarty put on his side and said  “Here is my take on @McIlroyRory - as long as he did not tear someone else's shirt, did not behave rudely with fans, did not break public property, did not use abusive language, I am fine if he showed his anger and frustration the way he did.

Golf can be maddening as it is!”
