While Diksha excelled, the other Indian players faced challenges. Amandeep Drall, who carded a 72 in the first round and managed seven consecutive pars in the second round, found herself in a tied-36th position. Vani Kapoor, who posted a 75 in the opening round, struggled with a 2-over score in the first six holes of the second round. Similarly, Seher Atwal, who struggled with an 80 in the first round, managed to maintain an even-par score after seven holes in the second round, but was certain to miss the cut. Tvesa Malik (77-80) was also expected to miss the cut.
In the second round, Diksha showcased a remarkable performance, building on her previous round's five birdies and four bogeys. This time, she continued her impressive form with five birdies and successfully avoided any bogeys. Starting from the 10th hole, she secured birdies on the 12th and 13th, and later added to her score on the fifth, seventh, and eighth holes. On the other hand, Maria Hernandez from Spain, who had a strong start with a 3-under 69 in the first round, managed to record six birdies and only one bogey in the second round.
Lily May Humphrey from England (71-68) and Mireia Prat from Spain (68-71) found themselves tied for third place. Anna Magnusson from Sweden, who had a fantastic start with an opening round of 66 (-6) and led by two shots at the conclusion of the first day, unfortunately struggled in the second round, scoring an 81. Her total score of 3-over for the tournament put her in danger of missing the cut. Charlotte Liautier from France and Elena Moosmaann from Switzerland both had 4-under totals for the first 36 holes, resulting in a tie for fifth place. Additionally, Cara Gainer, Olivia Cowan, and Virginia Elena Carta were also at 4-under, but they were yet to complete their second round at the time.
Patricia Isabel Schmidt, representing Mizuno, emerged victorious in the 2023 Belgian Ladies Open at Naxhelet Golf Club, securing her first-ever Ladies European Tour (LET) title. The 27-year-old German golfer closed the tournament with an impressive round of 66 (-6), winning by a margin of two shots. Schmidt, who is a rookie on the LET and earned her card through the LET Access Tour last season, showcased her talent and potential in this remarkable achievement.
