The increased purse prize of $1.7million USD(approx 62 million Thai Baht) has already excited the fans of the 16th edition of Honda LPGA Thailand 2023  and the first hole-in-one on the 16th hole reward of the Honda Accord e:HEV, e:HEV TECH variant worth 1,799,000THB. Fans will be able to watch and cheer their favourite players at this world class tournament total 72 players include the top 60 LPGA members (ranked in the order of their position on the Priority List as of January 10, 2023), including champion Nanna Koerstz Madsen, Rolex World Number One Lydia Ko, acclaimed golfing sister act, Jessica and Nelly Korda, US Women’s Open 2022 champion, Minjee Lee, 2021 Rolex Player of the Year, Jin Young Ko, 2022 KPMG Women's PGA Championship winner Ingee Chun and winner of the 2023 Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, Brooke Henderson along with 12 sponsors’ invitees and Natthakritta Vongtaveelap, who won the 2023 National Qualifiers will all be in attendance. 

 

 

Fans will have the opportunity to get a personal closeness with the elite Thai players, led by World No. 4 Atthaya Thitikul, rising stars such as Patty Tavatanakit, Pajaree Anannarukarn and Pornanong Phatlum and Jutanugarn sisters, Moriya and Ariya, who won the Honda LPGA Thailand 2021. 

 

 

 

 

World Number One Lydia Ko said: "Sadly, I could not participate in 2022, but I am hopeful I can make up for that with some success at Honda LPGA Thailand 2023. I’m excited to be back in Thailand to experience the great Thai hospitality and warmth that surrounds the event once again."

Coming back from a wrist injury that ruined her season last year, Jin Young Ko said: "I’m ready for a good 2023 season and aim to give my best at Honda LPGA Thailand 2023. The strategy is to be consistent on the Siam Country Club Old Course. I also like being here in Thailand as there’s always a warm welcome and the fans are great."

 

 

Local fans will witness golf's very best women's international professionals in action, but can also look forward to supporting up-and-coming Thai golf such as National Qualifier winner Natthakritta Vongtaveelap. 

 

With the provision of the Sponsors’ Invitees List, the tournament has also given the opportunity for budding golf talents and amateurs to compete on a world-class stage, including 2022 US Amateur winner, Saki Baba from Japan; twin sisters, Chisato Iwai and Akie Iwai  who have been rising through the ranks at the JLPGA Tour; China’s Muni He who won the LPGA-Q series in 2019; and Sweden’s Frida Kinhult who was number one in amateur rankings and won the Symetra Tour Championship in 2022. Invites have also been extended to Thai favourites such as Wichanee Meechai, Chanettee Wannasaen, Jaravee Boonchant, Arpichaya Yubol to compete in the prestigious tournament.

The Honda LPGA Thailand is the flagship LPGA tournament that has been held in Pattaya,Thailand since 2006. The tournament is currently hosted annually at the Siam Country Club Old Course, Pattaya Chonburi Province which has since become known as the home of Honda LPGA Thailand.
