About me: I am a 21 years old budding golfer from Chandigarh and am highly passionate
about playing competitive golf. On the Social front, I am an affable golfer with a gentle
demeanour and possess good communicating skills. I started playing golf in 2007 and have
recently made my debut as a professional golfer on the Asian Tour on 25 Oct 18. My mid-term
goal is to play the PGTI for a short stint and thereafter graduate to Asian and European Tour.
My long-term goal is to move on to the PGA Tour to compete with the best in the World, win
a Green Jacket and become World Number One.
What inspired me to take up Golf: In 2006-07, Tiger Woods was in his peak form. His
unbeatable feats inspired and fascinated me towards golf. Being from an Army background, I
loved to travel to picturesque places and meet people from all walks of life. Golf helps me to
do both, so I simply fell in love with this great sport.
Why Golf and not any other sport: Golf helps me to define myself as a complete man. It
provides me with attractive opportunities to showcase my golfing prowess, pursue it as a
professional career and become a better human being.
Interesting/funny moments: As a child in 2009, when I was teeing off in a tournament with
my driver, its head came out of the hosel and flew off. I completed the round without my driver
and finished the tournament with my best score of 3 over par at that point in time.
My Golfing Achievements:
• WAGR. Best ranking attained 210.

Sep 16. I have successfully made Cut in seven Championships.

Views on Golf in India: Golf is emerging as a rapidly growing sport in India. Achievements
of legendary Jeev Milkha Singh, Jyoti Randhawa, Anirban Lahiri, Gaganjit Bhullar and my
friend Shubhankar Sharma have opened multifarious avenues for young budding golfers in
India. It is heartening to see that we have an ever-growing number of Indians winning on the
Asian, Japanese and European Tours. The day is not far off when we will have Indian golfers
winning the PGA Tour, Green Jackets and of course gold medals in the Olympics and Asian
Games.
